Notes: At Robledo Medical Wellness Center we have state-of-the-art technology and advanced holistic healthcare practitioners on staff that enable us to assess your risk for diabetes, heart attack and stroke.
We start by learning everything we can about your healh, your family history, and your lifstyle. We provide a complete examination of your body and then take a look inside you by evaluating your blood. We can determine the health of your thyroid, kidneys, liver, blood sugar, and cardiovascular inflammation (cardio-crp, genetic and advanced lipid testing).
Depending on your symptoms, we may evaluate you for inflammatory joint disease, hormonal health and vitamin levels, all of which can lead to higher cardiovascular risk.
Why are we so interested in your heart and arteries? Because heart attack and stroke are still the number one cause of death!
The arteries in your arms, legs and abdomen can be easily and painlessly evaluated in our office to provide us immediate information about plaque, inflammation and atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries. Your blood also gives us invaluable clues about your internal health.
We may recommend a CIMT (carotid intimal medial thickness test). This assesses your risk for stroke (measures early plaque growth in the thin carotid artery membrane).
We strongly believe that the first step in treating a symptom or disease is through behavioral or lifestyle change. Nutrition has a huge impact on disease, and further, what we eat determines how we feel on a daily basis. We have seen profound improvements in our patients who have chosen to implement therapeutic lifestyle changes (TLC) into their lives. Heather O'Brien, and Joanna Puciata are certified Health Coaches that can help you build the skills needed to take control of your medications and provide tools that can help you on your journey to weight management. Dr. Robledo and Kristine can help you discover what foods can prevent serious conditions and even help you reduce or eliminate your need for certain medications.
Some of the most common conditions affected by nutrition include:
Chronic Fatigue, High Blood Pressure, Conditions related to Overweight Obesity, Insomnia, Inflammation, Arthritis and Joint Pain, Headaches, Fibromyalgia,
Stress, Depression, Chronic Pain, Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
Let us help you make the choices that will enhance your health & prevent disease!
