Job Openings:
Compounding, Marketing & Dispensing Staff Pharmacist
 
Responsibilities include:
Retail dispensing of prescription and nutritional medications/products. Patient counseling predominantly regarding weight loss, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (bhrt). Patient counseling re transdermal pain medication & symptom management. Patient and clinician counseling re integrative medicine approaches to therapy management. Pharmacist supervision and review of product development and production in the non-sterile laboratories. Oversight of the compounded medication marketing efforts. Conduct client prospecting, negotiation, and close sales deals. Use product knowledge, presentation skills, and client relationships to expand client base. Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establish new accounts. Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential pharmaceutical products made by mark drugs. Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the target audience/type of medical setting and patients served. Submit activity and results reports to management. Monitor competition from other compounding pharmacies by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products and compounding techniques. Recommend changes in products and services by evaluating results and competitive developments. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies. Build rapport and relationships by interacting with physicians, veterinarians and other professionals demonstrating awareness of their needs and responding with the appropriate pharmaceutical product. Serve as a member of a scientifically driven team, dedicated to the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for boutique pharmaceutical products. Use feedback from clients and knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding production methods to develop new products. Assist in the hands-on compounding process for new and existing products. Utilize appropriate research tools, instrumentation, technologies, and methodologies to support efficient and effective development of compounded pharmaceutical products. Maintain safety, regulatory, and compliance standards as they relate to the development of compounded pharmaceuticals. Prepare technical reports, publications and oral presentations.
 
Must have a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign degree equivalent, in pharmacy and 2 years professional experience, 6 months of which should be in compounding. Must be license eligible in Illinois.
