On Staff Licensed Dietitian
Our On Staff Licensed Dietitian plays a variety of roles at Mark Drugs Roselle. Among these responsibilities include consultations with clients ranging from specific dietary, vitamin supplement and nutritional issues to weight loss. Simple consultations may be held right in the aisle or a consultation may be scheduled for a private, more in-depth meeting depending on the individual patients’ needs.
Her extensive background in diet, nutrition, vitamins, herbs, complementary and alternative medicine coupled with an allopathic formal educational background create a unique opportunity for the consumer to benefit from her knowledge.
The Staff Dietitian is responsible for researching and deciding which products will be allowed onto our shelves. We do not take this issue lightly. Although price is certainly a component of the decision making process, it is not the most important one. Researching of companies, their standards and processing methods allow us to ensure the products we carry are truly the best for your family at the best price. After all, the most expensive product is the one that does not work!
The Staff Dietitian is also responsible for Product Development and Maintenance of the Synergy Blends line, which ranges from formulation to label design. She researches the needs of our patients and meets with our staff of pharmacists and other health care professionals to review the peer-reviewed literature and determine the best combinations of products for different medical conditions.
The Synergy Blends line of nutritional products focuses on providing combinations of vitamins, minerals, biological and herbal components that are otherwise not available in the marketplace. The overall goal is to create synergistic results where the net benefits are superior to the individual lone components.
